What METHERGIN is used for?


It is used for:



  • The prevention and control of postpartum haemorrhage

  • Routine management of uterine atony, hemorrhage and subinvolution of the uterus

  • Control of uterine hemorrhage in the second stage of labor following delivery of the anterior shoulder






Directions & For Use

 












  • This medicine will be given by a doctor or nurse

  • It is given intramuscularly or intravenously


If you take more METHERGIN



  • If you have given too much of this medicine, you may get the below mentioned symptoms

  • Symptoms of overdose: nausea, vomiting, oliguria, abdominal pain, numbness, tingling of the extremities, rise in blood pressure, hypotension, respiratory depression, hypothermia, convulsions
