INTRODUCTION


NOOTROPIL contains Piracetam which belongs to a group of medicines known as GABA analogues. It is used in the treatment of memory disorders or intellectual disturbances such as a lack of concentration or of alertness, changes of mood, a deterioration in behaviour and personal negligence. It is used in combination with the other medicines to treat the myoclonus, which is a condition in which nervous system causes muscles, in the arms and legs, to start to jerk or twitch uncontrollably. It also protects the brain and nervous system against shortness of oxygen.


Always take NOOTROPIL exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take this medicine, if you suffer from Huntington‘s Disease (also known as Huntington‘s Chorea). If you are pregnant or breast-feeding or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine. Do not drive or operate any machinery while taking this medicine, it may cause drowsiness and shakiness. Tell your doctor if you are taking, have taken or might take any other medicines.

HOW NOOTROPIL WORKS


It improves the function of neurotransmitter acetylcholine via muscarinic cholinergic (ACh) receptors, which are implicated in memory processes. It may influence NMDA glutamate receptors, which are involved with learning and memory processes.



 








DIRECTIONS FOR USE


Always take NOOTROPIL exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will choose dose that is right for you. Do not mix the solution with the any other liquid.

Keep try taking this medicine with, or just after, a meal or snack and stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy food.


Diarrhea:


Drink lot of fluid, such as water or squash, to avoid dehydration. Do not take any other medicines before consulting the doctor.


Skin redness:


Avoid bath in hot water because hot water can irritate the skin. Moisturizers can be used regular basis to soothe and hydrate the affected area.
