What PHENERGAN is used for?
It is used,
To treat allergic conditions such as hay fever or rashes (like nettle rash or hives)
To treat travel sickness
To treat adults with sleeping difficulty (insomnia) (short term use)
As a sedative for children aged 2 years and above (short term use)
Directions & For Use
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
Take this medicine by mouth
Do not take for longer than 7 days. If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 7 days talk to your doctor
Do not change the dose yourself without asking your doctor
If you use more PHENERGAN
If you take more tell a doctor or go to hospital immediately
Effects of overdosing:
In children:
Excitation, moving unsteadily or stumbling, uncontrolled writhing movements especially of the hands or feet, hallucinations, fits (seizures) loss of consciousness, uneven heart beat and breathing problems
In adults:
Feeling sleepy or drowsy, fits, very fast, uneven or forceful heartbeat (palpitations), loss of consciousness, breathing problems
If you forgot to use PHENERGAN
If you missed the dose take as soon as you remember
If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking PHENERGAN
Do not stop use of this medicine without consulting your doctor
