What is SENSODENT K?

Introduction:

Sensodent K dental cream is non-fluoridated cream used for dentin hypersensitivity, it provides rapid relief for sensitive teeth. It works to relieve tooth sensitivity rapidly when directly applied to the gums. Hypersensitivity of tooth is characterized by short, sharp pain while taking hot, cold, sweet or very acidic foods and drinks, or breathing in cold air.

Potassium nitrate is used to prevent cavities and to reduce pain from sensitive teeth (dentinal hypersensitivity). It calms the nerves in the teeth and also build-up potassium ions over time which helps to desensitize nerves in the tooth pulp, making them irresponsive to sensitivity stimuli.
